Cion Corp. was retained by Jones Lang LaSalle to complete roof replacement design and tender specifications for the Canada Post Corporation post office in Greenwood, BC.

A goal of the project was to maintain the heritage elements and aesthetic of this character-filled building, which began with Phase 1 in Fall 2022. This phase encompassed a comprehensive overhaul involving the replacement of the flat roof, along with restoration of skylight, bell tower, and canopy roof. These aspects created a strong foundation for the second phase.

The new 24 Gauge slope metal panels were introduced in Phase 2, which reinvigorated the structure, infusing it with both functionality and aesthetic allure. In early 2023, the implementation of liquid membrane waterproofing, matching the sloped metal panels, elevated the building’s original architectural profile.

This project shows how intricate design, execution and attention to detail can seamlessly converge within a historic and visually significant setting.
